  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Suits up Thursday

Brown (foot) was in uniform for pregame warmups in advance of Thursday's preseason game against the Packers, Paul Gutierrez of reports.

Given Brown's limited practice reps of late, due to both a foot issue and a grievance pertaining to his helmet, it would seem unlikely that he'll see much, if any, action Thursday. Still, after all that's happened over the last few weeks, just seeing the wideout suited up for the Raiders at this stage is a good sign that his situation has stabilized.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Hearing scheduled for Friday

Brown's second helmet-related grievance against the NFL likely will be heard Friday in front of an arbitrator, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

After his initial grievance was denied, Brown located three more copies of his preferred Schutt AiR Advantage helmet, including at least one that the NFL already has rejected. The saga at least seems to be nearing a conclusion, with Brown rejoining the Raiders on Monday and returning to practice Tuesday with a league-certified helmet. His foot injury from a mishap in a cryotherapy chamber seems to have healed while he was absent from training camp to deal with the helmet situation. General manager Mike Mayock expressed frustration Sunday with Brown when asked about the situation, but it's likely that all will be forgiven if the 31-year-old can prove he's mentally and physically prepared for Week 1 against Denver.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Practicing with approved helmet

Coach Jon Gruden said that Brown (foot) practiced Tuesday with a certified helmet and that he is "all in," Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It looks like the helmet saga may have reached its conclusion Tuesday with Brown using a helmet approved by the league and saying that he is on board. While there still appears to be some mystery regarding Brown's foot injury, his participation Tuesday does suggest that the wideout is on the cusp of being fully healthy, and the expectation should now be that Brown is consistently on the practice field for the Raiders.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Present for walkthrough Tuesday

Brown (foot) participated in the walkthrough portion of Tuesday's practice, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Amid his ongoing feud with the NFL over preferred headgear, Brown participated in Tuesday's walkthrough but left the practice field when the team finished stretching and put on helmets, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic. It appears to be a long shot for the NFL to approve one of Brown's preferred helmet models, and it remains to be seen when the star wideout will resume practicing in full.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Files new grievance

Brown (foot) is filing a new grievance against the NFL regarding his preferred helmet, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

An arbitrator ruled against Brown's initial grievance over his desire to continue wearing his old helmet, a Schutt AiR Advantage. The star wideout's new grievance is an attempt to receive a single-season grace period to continue wearing his preferred headgear, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Brown reported to the Raiders Monday to finish out training camp and seems to have recovered well enough from his foot injury to practice, but a resolution to his conflict with the NFL doesn't appear imminent.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Rejoins team for meeting

Brown (foot) joined the Raiders on Monday for a team meeting to finish out training camp, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

Seemingly now healthy enough to practice, Brown nonetheless skipped Sunday's session to focus on dealing with his helmet grievance, apparently upset that the NFL didn't approve the Schutt Air Advantage he recently acquired. He reportedly has two other versions that were manufactured in different years, but it's considered a long shot for the NFL to approve any model of Brown's preferred helmet. Raiders GM Mike Mayock expressed frustration Sunday, noting that the team has "exhausted all avenues of relief" and now needs to know if Brown is "all-in or all-out." A return to the team Monday marks a step in the right direction, but it still isn't clear where Browns' focus lies.

  • Raiders' Antonio Brown: Having more helmets tested

Brown (foot) is having two additional Schutt Air Advantage helmets, manufactured in two different years, tested to see if they meet the NFL's standards, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Despite making progress with his "frostbitten" feet, Brown skipped practice Sunday after the first of his new helmets failed an NFL test. Raiders general manager Mike Mayock responded with frustration, noting that the team has "exhausted all avenues of relief" and now needs to know if Brown is "all-in or all-out", though the player himself apparently doesn't agree that he's out of options. The 31-year-old wideout denies rumors that he threatened to retire if he couldn't wear his desired helmet, but it's clear the matter has taken his focus away from the Raiders. Tom Pelissero of suggests it's a long shot for Brown to get approval from the NFL for any version of the Schutt Air Advantage helmet he's so fond of.
